Guide: How to join NewSpawn

IMPORTANT: prior to reading the following page, make sure you've read and agreed to follow the NewSpawn Rules. Failure to comply with these rules can result in a permanent and irrevocable ban from our community. We don't allow ignorance of the rules as an excuse.

This Guide details the process on how to join the NewSpawn server. As you've already1) seen, you need to check out the server rules first. I know, they are long and boring. But please do this one thing and you'll have much less trouble later on. I can't stress enough that it's really, really worth it!

Java Edition

Done reading the rules? Great! It's now time to actually join the server. Provided you're running the latest Minecraft release and have a license for Minecraft: Java Edition, you can simply connect to the server at newspawn.net.

In case you've never joined a server, here's how it's done:

  1. Open your Minecraft Launcher (download it from here in case you don't have it installed) and sign in with the credentials of your relevant Mojang, Microsoft or Legacy (Minecraft) account
  2. Click on the “PLAY” button to launch the game
  3. Once Minecraft has started, click on “Multiplayer”, then “Add Server”
  4. Enter the following:
    • In Server Name: NewSpawn2)
    • In Server Address: newspawn.net
  5. You can leave other options untouched; click on “Done”
  6. Double-click on NewSpawn in the server list
