NewSpawn

NewSpawn (also known as NewSpawn Reborn to distinguish it from the original server NewSpawn Classic) is the current incarnation of the NewSpawn server platform. It was created on 2019-04-20, after alex2003super saw a post from EggYoch describing a server he used to play on several years back.
On NewSpawn, every week1) the spawn point is changed to a new random Spawn Spot, in what is called a NewSpawn Event. Players are relocated to the new Spawn Spot, and enjoy the freedom to “start over” and build new things in the fully unfettered terrain, as well as connect the new areas to previous settlements.
The server address of NewSpawn is newspawn.net. Interestingly enough, azoundria was previously in possession of this domain, which had been used on the now-extinct NewSpawn Classic server.

Quickly after the creation of the server and the subreddit, a Discord Server was also added, with bidirectional integration with the in-game chat.
The history of the server is primarily broken down into Seasons and each Season into Eras; those are defined by the world size during the Era, and each has a specific Minecraft version that the server was based on at the time. Follows a list of NewSpawn Eras:

Main differences from NewSpawn Classic
NewSpawn Reborn attempts to follow NewSpawn Classic's idea as closely as possible, while augmenting the experience with additional features and tweaks to keep the game balanced and enjoyable. Unlike NewSpawn Classic, NewSpawn Reborn has:
- SpawnChoice, a system that allows the unprepared (or nostalgic) NewSpawner to return to the previous spawn point, should they not wish to participate in the current NewSpawn, while preventing arbitrary teleportations that would break the core idea of NewSpawn.
- An Online World Map, frequently updated with new builds, terrain, and signposts, pointing to player creations and Spawn Spots.
- A Discord Server and Subreddit for the community to gather and play together, as well as share and view content published by others.
- Advanced moderation tools that allow Admins and Helpers to prevent and, if necessary, quickly cancel any sort of disruption caused by malicious actors.
