This Guide details the process on how to join the [[:newspawn|NewSpawn]] server. As you've already((Hopefully)) seen, you need to check out the [[:rules|server rules]] first. I can't stress enough that it's really, really important.

===== Java Edition =====

Done reading the rules? Great! It's now time to actually join the server. Provided you're running the latest Minecraft release and have a license for Minecraft: Java Edition, you can simply connect to the server at ''newspawn.net''.

In case you've never joined a server, here's how it's done:

  - Open your Minecraft Launcher (in case you don't have it installed, download it from the Microsoft Store on Windows, or from [[https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download|here]]  if you're on Mac or Linux) and sign in with the credentials of your Microsoft account
  - Click on the "PLAY" button to launch the game
  - Once Minecraft has started, click on "Multiplayer", dismiss the safety warning and then click on "Add Server"
  - Enter the following:
    * In //Server Name:// ''NewSpawn''((You can actually put whatever you want here, it's just a way to make multiple servers easy to distinguish))
    * In //Server Address:// ''newspawn.net''
  - You can leave other options untouched; click on "Done"
  - Double-click on NewSpawn in the server list
